Just bought a digital camera and not sure how to get the best out of it? Ever feel your photos are not as good as they could be? Have you seen photos taken by others and thought "I wish I could take photos like that"? Then come along to this enjoyable and informative Introduction to Photography course.
While any type of digital camera can used during the course, you’ll get the most out of the course if you own an interchangeable lens camera (DSLR or mirrorless). Other type of camera MAY lack many of the features we discuss on the course.

The course
The next Introduction to Photography course will commence in 2025, usually on a Thursday evening - dates are TBC. The course comprises 6 Thursday night sessions and two field trip outings (a Friday night and a Saturday morning). Register, or complete the enquiry form below so we know you are interested.

Artistic elements of photography
Exposure: aperture, shutter speed and ISO
Hands on - Getting to know your camera

Location/Time
Classroom sessions are conducted the Caulfield RSL in Elsternwick or online via Zoom. The six evening sessions commence at 7:30 PM on Thursday evenings and last approximately 2 – 2 ½ hours. In addition, there are two field trips (Friday night & Saturday morning) as listed above.
